01. Vision for Movements

God has an extraordinary plan and you are part of it. He is stimulating your heart, leading you to pursue a dream that he is revealing. This lesson invites you to focus on that vision and hear God’s voice. Capturing God’s vision is a vital step in movement building. We follow the voice of our Good Shepherd. There are many ways to share our faith.  Sometimes just having a pen and paper is all you need.  In this lesson you will learn how to share the gospel while you sketch out a diagram.   You will find both a video showing you how to draw the diagram and a step by step walk-through. The Diagram has become a favorite way for many to share their faith.

03. Compassionate Evangelism

As we proclaim the gospel we share the love of Christ. The two go together. We long to demonstrate a caring heart, knowing that Jesus was both loving and compassionate. Expressing genuine interest in others and having a real desire to learn more about them influences how we connect with our audience. There are great questions that can be asked which build connection. God, who asked us to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice, will enable us to grow in empathy as we connect with the lost.

05a. Finishing the Gospel Conversation - Four Laws

Sharing the gospel involves bringing someone to a point of decision. The gospel is more than mere information. It comes with an invitation. It asks the listener to respond by placing their faith in the Son of God. How can we bring someone to a point of decision where they personally reflect on this invitation to believe? How can we help them identify where they are on their spiritual journey? This lesson teaches the skills that help us guide the conversation to a personal level. It teaches how we can be prepared to work with a wide variety of responses to the gospel.

Now that you are familiar with The Diagram it is time to learn how to use this tool to bring someone to a very important moment -- the moment of decision.  The message of the gospel calls someone to respond.  Once you have drawn out the diagram there are several important questions that will help someone decide where they are in relationship to God.  This lesson is packed with wisdom that others have learned over the years.  They would like to share it with you!

Having a great conversation about Jesus doesn’t guarantee that it will be easy to reconnect with an interested person a second time. This can be discouraging. We expect that those who heard about Jesus will want to meet with us again. We face challenges as we pursue reconnecting with people who showed spiritual interest. This lesson analyzes the situation and offers practical help of what can be done.

God’s Word is a lamp for our feet and a light for our path. He instructs us by his Word. It tells us what we should know, what we should believe and how we should behave. Once your disciples have their own disciples you discover that you have new responsibilities. You are now training a person to be a discipler of others. In this lesson we will learn about these new responsibilities and consider the skills we need to develop.

16. Spiritual Movements 2

A spiritual movement is often known by its activities. They are the overt, visible expression of God’s people at work. A movement however, is much more than a set of activities. Healthy movements maintain a posture before the Lord and create a culture that encourages each person to humbly seek opportunities to grow. A healthy movement expresses spiritual dependence, faith, and a commitment to community. In this lesson we study these fundamental, albeit less visible, elements of a healthy movement.
